Department of Mathematics – B.Sc. (Computer Science) Pi Approximation Day Mathematics Exhibition
The Department of Mathematics (B.Sc. Computer Science) organized a Pi Approximation Day Exhibition on 26th August 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
A total of 54 students from the First, Second, and Third Year students of B.Sc. (Computer Science) participated in the event, presenting a wide range of engaging mathematical concepts and tricks through their projects. Students showcased their creativity and enthusiasm through interactive games and activities such as Tantai Square, Tower of Hanoi, stick puzzles, Pi Tower, PI Art Station and Knot Theory. They also explored significant mathematical ideas, including the Konigsberg Bridges Problem, Fibonacci Series, Golden Ratio, Buffon’s Needle Experiment, Prime Labelling in Graphs, and Vertex Colouring in Graph Theory.
The exhibition received an overwhelming response from students, faculty members, and staff of St. Mira’s College for Girls. It provided a platform for participants and visitors alike to learn new mathematical concepts in an enjoyable and interactive manner.
The event was coordinated by the Mathematics faculty members of B.Sc. (Computer Science) – Ms. Gitanjali Phadnis and Ms. Vrushali Paranjpe.
